Luscious Lotions, Decadent Creams and Nourishing Conditioners

30 Emulsified Lotion Recipes and Detailed Instructions

Lisa A. Daniels

445 Pages

If you would like to learn to make your own lotions, creams and hair conditioners, but don’t know how to get started, this book may be your key to learning a new craft and unlocking a wealth of luxurious skin care possibilities! Even if you are not a beginner, there are plenty of creative recipes to keep you entertained.

The entire end-to-end process of lotion making is explained in detail, but it is tailored for beginners, so you don’t need a chemistry degree to understand it! You will learn about safety, sanitization, terminology, lotion making phases, equipment, supplies, the “heat and hold” process, recipe modification, and troubleshooting.

Thirty recipes are provided for a variety of different body and facial lotions, creams and hair conditioners. Using the skills learned in the recipe modification chapter, you can make every lotion in this book, even if you don’t have all the ingredients that the recipe calls for. You can also use those skills to modify lotion recipes to better match your unique skin type, skin care concerns, or better fit your crafting supply inventory.

Lotion-making is a fun and rewarding hobby that can forever change your skin care routine. You will soon be thinking of all sorts of your own creative combinations of skin-loving ingredients to try out. Welcome to a new adventure!

The book has been many months in the making, and while I have enjoyed every moment of producing and improving the recipes, taking the photographs, and writing the content, I am relieved to be moving on to a new project.  I am not quite sure what that project might be yet, but it seems to be tending toward palm-free soaps, as that is my new “thing” as of late.

For now, I am going to take a little break and focus on finishing up some more gifts for the upcoming birthday of my sister and niece (I will be making many many many bath bombs).  Who knows, I may even end up taking a weekend off for once!  Stranger things have happened!
I want to thank you for reading, commenting on, and supporting my blog.   Your words of encouragement help me keep creating and improving.  It gives me the motivation I need to continue creating!
