Analytical Recipe – Walnut Facial Scrub

My niece, Andi, asked me if I could try to make her something like St. Ives Apricot Scrub. I decided to give it a try.

You see, surfactants and I don’t always get along.   They are finicky and I don’t really have as good a handle on using them as I do with lotions and creams.   I have had a few successes with them though, so I thought, “why not try?”

Wrap It Up…I’ll Take It!

As suspected, yesterday was not as productive as some other vacation days this week due to the holiday, but I did manage to get a couple of things made last night.   When combined with the things I managed today, it made a huge dent in my “to make’ list.  So much so that I have only a couple more things to wrap up tomorrow and I’m done with Christmas making! Polymer Play – Vitamin B HLA & Cucumber Moisture Mask with Sepimax ZEN

This weekend was all about playing with polymers to make facial masks!  And I had a great time experimenting!

Yesterday I also began this little project with Sepimax ZEN.    I finished it today (because the Sepimax has to hydrate for  8 hours before you finish the product). Continue reading “Polymer Play – Vitamin B HLA & Cucumber Moisture Mask with Sepimax ZEN”

Polymer Play – Aristoflex AVC Clay Moisture Mask

Hi all!  I’ve been gone for a couple of weeks, working at my day job, which has been consuming much of my time lately.   This weekend though, I got a little chance to play! I decided to while away my Saturday playing with polymers.   Yes I realize this makes me sound like the biggest nerd in history, but I don’t care — I had fun!

Today’s project – Rose Clay Moisturizing Gel Mask! Continue reading “Polymer Play – Aristoflex AVC Clay Moisture Mask”
