I thought I’d share what “else” I have been up to lately (other than work, which nobody wants to hear about).
You see, photography has been and continues to be one of my greater challenges that I have not yet conquered.
While photographing bath and body products is not terribly challenging, I have been having the hardest time getting good, full-body, shots of my malas. Continue reading “Challenges”
A new friend arrived at my house today. She is going to help me display my knitwear! Because I am decidedly NOT photogenic, she is going to be my stand-in. I haven’t decided “who she is” yet, so she has no name at the moment.
No, she’s not perfect. She has no hair. Her hands are a bit small. Her feet and bust are a bit large. Her legs are very long. I doubt there are many women with her proportions. Unfortunately, my feet are smaller than hers, so my boots won’t fit her, so for now, she is going in her stocking feet. Still, I was pleasantly surprised I was able to get her to wear some of my clothes (without even having to pin them)! That was amazing (and strangely rewarding).
I thought about buying a dressmaker form, but I couldn’t really find any that I liked that were affordable. There was one that I kind of liked, but the shipping on it cost more than the dress form cost, so I passed. Hooray! I am finally done with all my 56 remakes and am moving on to the next phase! It took months, and some things had to be made more than once, but my persistence has finally paid off.
With this little candle, I am now done, and so happy to be starting next weekend with taking my final pictures of everything. Continue reading “And, we have reached the finish line!”
After months and months of making the same products over and over again, I am getting close to the end of that project and already starting to do my research and stocking up for my next project.
Today I received a haul from Camden Grey and LotionCrafter. Tomorrow I am expecting a few things from Nature’s Garden, and perhaps Saturday, from Glenbrook Farms Herbs.

It was my husband’s birthday this weekend. As such, I didn’t get as much done as I do most weekends, but it is also important to spend time with those that you love. Luckily, my husband is an artist and during some of the time he spent with me, we worked together on photographing my products. 🙂 Continue reading “More progress and some revisits”
Another weekend has come and gone already, but not without something to show for it!
I spent the weekend making a couple of soaps and bath / body products. In all I got 9 things completed. Continue reading “Busy Weekend = Fun Weekend”
